Jining City and Rizhao city, Shandong province

Jining lies in the southern part of Shandong province and it is separated by the Yellow River from Liaocheng City in the northwest corner, Jinan, the capital city of Shandong province, is about 200 kilometers (124 miles) from Jining. 
Primitive villages were scattered around this region five or six thousand years ago. After the unification of China by the Qin Dynasty(221BC-206BC), Rencheng County was established here. Jining, as the name of the administrative unit set up here, first appeared in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).

     

Jining belongs to the transitional area from low mountains and hills to plaines. Generally, plain and bottomland constitute the main types of the city's landform. 
Bearing a warm temperate monsoon climate, the region has abundant solar energy. Summer is hot and gathers much rainfall, while most days in winter are clear and chilly. The annual average temperature ranges from 13.3'C to 14.1'C (55.9'F to 57.4'F).
Qufu is the hometown of Confucius, the greatest mind of far-reaching importance in Chinese history
The Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Confucian Family Mansion were listed int he World Heritage in 1994. Of these three sacred buildings, the Temple of Confucius, the representative classical architecture complex of Confucianism, is praised as the 'Number One Temple in China'.The Temple, along with the Forbidden City and Mountain Resort of Chengde, are China's three largest ancient building complexes. Qufu is the must-see place of the area, while the three sites-Temple, Cemetery and Mansion--are the must-see destinations when traveling to Qufu.
Other famous scenic sports are like Mencius Family Mansion and Mencius Temple, Yishan Mountain and Baoxiang Temple etc.

Rizhao is seated in the southeastern part of Shandong Province. It faces the Yellow Sea to the east, and borders Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, to the south, and Qingdao and Weifang to the north. It covers an area of 5,310 sq km. The eastern part of Rizhao enjoys a warm, humid monsoon climate, while the western part of the city has a temperate continental climate. The average temperature is about 12.5°C.

    

Rizhao has convenient transportation. The Ridong Highway is connected with the Beijing-Shanghai Highway, the Beijing-Fuzhou Highway and the Tongjiang-Sanya Highway. The Heze-Rizhao Railway and the Jiaozhou-Xinyi Railway go through the city, linking the city with Beijing, Zhengzhou and Jinan. In 1995, Rizhao became the eastern bridge tower of the Euro-Asian Continental Bridge. Rizhao Port, a major port in Shandong Province, has annual cargo capacity above 100 million tons. Lanshan Port Area of Rizhao Port, one of China's largest liquid petrochemical ports, has a 50,000-tonnage liquid petrochemical wharf.
The city is rich in mineral resources such as gold, silver, copper, asbestos and granite. The proven gold ore reserves in this city exceed 88,600 tons.

Brief Introduction of the University

Jining Medical Unviersity, operated by the Shandong province government, was founded in 1952. There are two campus in our university, namely, Jining and Rizhao campus.

There are 905 staff in our university, including 598 full-time teachers-more than 220 professors and associate professors, and among them there are 330 more teachers with PhD and M.S. Degree. The university recruits students from 22 provinces of China. It has 13500undergraduate and junior full-time students, more than 20 graduate students. It has planned to recruit the foreign students from the USA, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, etc.

The university has 15 schools and departments.

The university has the University-Enterprise Joint Program in Software outsourcing with Donghe Information of Qingdao to train computer science and technology students.

The university also has the International Training Program of Nursing to enroll three-year students with the University of Memphis in the USA after the authority of Shandong Provincial Education Department.

The university attaches grea importance on international cooperation and exchange, it has established the relationship in technological cooperation and academic exchange of over 10 colleges and universities around the world, such as Massachusetts College of Pharmacy of the USA, Southbank Institute of Australia, Karolinska Institute of Sweden, TZU CHI University of Taiwan, etc...It also sends some qualified students with Bachelor or Master's Degree to study abroad regualry.

The university is awarded several honors during the recent years, such as 'Provincial Civilized Unit', 'Provincial Civilized Campus', etc.

Requirements: Bachelor degree + teaching experience (TEFL Cert. preferred)
Monthly Salary: 8000-10000 RMB with 16 teaching hours per week
Age of Students: university students
Paid Holidays: two days off per week; all public holidays in China. Paid Summer holiday in July and August
Medical Allowance: They will provide free medical service at the school clinic.
Medical Insurance: Medical coverage paid by school.
Accommodations: Offering a private free apartment including with 1-2 bedrooms, living room, washing room, color TV, DVD or VCD player; internet access, air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine, telephone, microwave, bedding etc. a certain amount of free household electricity and water and internet usage 
International air ticket: On the completion of one school year contract, the school will reimburse the round-trip airfare. 
Closest Airport: The teacher will be picked up by the school on arrival and transported to the airport on departure. 
Working visa: Invitation letter and working permit will be mailed to teacher to process work visa in his/her own home country before departing for China. Teachers already in China will be assisted in switching over to the university.
