Information Research Center for International Talent,
State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) China
The centre is directly under SAFEA China. It is responsible for collecting, researching, publicizing and utilizing OEI information and establishing the electronic administration of SAFEA. It is also in charge of building up information databases of urgently needed overseas talents, and for expertise-introduction programs and their achievements, as well as an electronic administrative system and foreign-experts affairs. The Center provides information on overseas talents and related market demands on a regular basis, building up an information platform for international personal exchanges, to serve the needs for OEI. The Center maintains and updates the SAFEA website (www.safea.gov.cn), It is also responsible for the daily work of the China Society for Research on International Exchange and Personnel Development.

 

China Connection Education Service
Founded in 2001, it is an offshore intermediary organization (Cert. No 049) approved by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) of the People's Republic of China for introducing foreign cultural and educational experts to China.

 

Globalization and multiculturalism have become essential components of our life and work environment. As a consequence, misunderstandings occur and make intercultural know-how necessary. To help meet the growing demand for intercultural expertise, we provide professional intercultural training and coaching.

 

The aim of the programs are to help prepare for dealings with the Chinese by imparting invaluable knowledge that will assist in building strong interpersonal relationships, promote clear lines of communication and help minimize cross cultural misunderstandings.

 

Our training programs can be tailored to meet the demands of today's progressive business personnel who either seek to establish trade links with China, go to China on business or relocate to China for work. We deliver group training programs through discussion, activities, role playing and case studies to ensure engagement and practical learning. Content for a One Day or Two Day Program will be developed in consultation with the corporate client.

Our Consultants
Timothy Carey, Ph.D. (American)
Tim has almost 20 years of experience in coaching and consulting in Asia, North America and the Middle East. He has been responsible for designing and managing the intercultural communication programs. He is also a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for their Industrial/Organizational Psychology Masters program.
Mr. Alister Beecher (Australian)

Alister is from Melbourne and has lived in China for 13 years. He graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Commerce (International Marketing major) & Bachelor of Arts (Mandarin Chinese major). He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese

He is responsible for managing, ensuring the service quality, and assisting in the development of the program.

Alister's skills are based on his own overseas experiences, coordination abilities, attention to detail and practical experience with co-workers and clients as well as a theoretical knowledge of interpersonal communication issues from his educational background.

Jonathan Lee
Jonathan is the Visiting/Guest Lecturer of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade.

Jonathan has held various management positions with several Hong Kong / US publicly listed companies namely Swire Group, Hutchison, Li & Fung, chinadotcom Group. He is the Founding Director of Jiangxi Province, Hong Kong and Taiwan Youth Exchange Association. Previously he was the Director of Mainland China Affairs of Hong Kong Junior Chamber NBN.

He graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours degree in Business Administration. He also received international & cross-cultural management training in Germany, Finland, Russia and Mexico from institutions namely University of Michigan, Koblenz Graduate School of Management in Germany and Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration in Finland.
