Anshan is the third largest prefecture-level city in Liaoning Province, China. Situated in the central area of the province, Anshan is about 92 kilometres (57 mi) south of Shenyang, the provincial capital. Anshan is on the boundary between the Mountains of eastern Liaoning and the plains of the west. The prefecture has a population of 3,584,000 people and covers an area of about 9,252 km2 (3,572 sq mi). The distance from the east to the west of the prefecture is 133 km (83 mi). The area contains the famous Qianshan National Park. The city's name is derived from the shape of a nearby mountain that resembles the shape of a horse's saddle, which can be seen on the left (west) about five minutes before the northbound train arrives at Anshan Station. Anshan is home to the Anshan Iron and Steel Group, one of the largest steel producers in China. Anshan is sister cities with Sheffield.

Anshan has a population of 3.65 million at the 2010 census. The built up area encompassing four Anshan urban districts (1,529,350 inhabitants) and urban Liaoyang was home to more than 2.17 million inhabitants in 2010.

Anshan holds one third of the world's supply of talcum and a quarter of the world's reserves of magnesite. Anshan also produced the largest ever jade stone, now a local tourist attraction carved as a Buddha.


University of overview

   

The University of Science and Technology Liaoning was founded in 1948 which is one of the oldest University in China. The University was first found to be a special educational institution in the field of metallurgy to train skilled workers and engineers for Chinese No.1 steel company, the Ansteel, by the time of establishment. After years of development the University has grown into its present form which is a comprehensive University with a wide range of disciplines covering science, engineering, law, social science, and fine arts, etc.

The University located in Anshan city. The city is famous for its steel production and hot spring bath spot. Famous tourist destination Mountain Qian just located 20 kilometers away east to the city center. It takes 1-hour drive from the city to the provincial capital, the city of Shenyang, where most of the international air flights land. It is only 300 kilometers away from the famous coastal city, Dalian. The high-speed train runs through the west side of the city connects the city with Shenyang and Dalian. Anshan also has its own airport offering flights to most of the major cities in China.

                        Bachelor degree + teaching experience (TEFL Cert. preferred), Candidates with official certificates in teaching 

                        TOEFL or IELTS will definitely add score

Contract Period:  1st Mar, 2025 - 31st Jan, 2026
                            1st Sep, 2025 - 15th Jul, 2026
Salary: Bachelor degree holder with teaching experience RMB12,000 - RMB15,000 

Working hour: 14-16 teaching hours per week.

Age of Students: university students
Paid Holidays: two days off per week; all public holidays in China; paid winter holiday in Jan and Feb
Medical Insurance: Medical coverage paid by school.
Accommodations: Offering a hotel style single room accomodation

Travel Allowance: 2,200 RMB per school year

Overtime pay: Overtime or Extra work of 200 RMB per hour
International air ticket: On the completion of the contract, the school will reimburse the Roundtrip airfare (the economic class) up

Closest Airport: Anshan Teng' ao Airport. The teacher will be picked up by the school on arrival and transported to the airport on departure. 
Working visa: Invitation letter will be mailed to teacher to process work visa in his/her own home country before departing for

                      China. Teachers already in China will be assisted in switching over to the university.
