Huanggang City Brief Introduction

Huanggang locates in the eastern of Hubei Province, on the south foot of Dabie Mountain, the north bank of the middle reaches of Changjiang River and the middle segment of Jingjiu Railway. In present, it administer one section (Huangzhou), two cities (Wuxue and Macheng), sever counties (Hongan, Luotian, Yingshan, Xishui, Qichun, Huangmei, Tuanfeng), and one county-grade farm. The territory acreage is 17.4 thousands SQ.KM. The population is 7, 300 thousands.

There has long history culture of Huanggang. Huanggang has over 2000 years cultural history, gestated Sizu Daoxin, Wuzu Hongren, Liuzu Huinenghe of the Chinese Buddhism zen, In Huanggang, there has numbers of great masters which in science and culture fields. For example, Bisheng who is the inventor of Type Printing in Song Era, famous doctor Shizhen Li in Ming Era. In present age, there has Siguang Li who is a famous geologist, Yiduo Wen who is Patriotic Poet, Kan Huang who is National Scientist, Philosopher Shili Xiong, Literature Critic Feng Wu, Yana Wang who is the Translator of “On Capital”, etc. All of these great masters have made important contribution for the Chinese Nation and the world.

Huanggang has been endowed with magnificent inner cultural essences. After those passing dynasties, a great number of famous literatures works are left by celebrated literati and poets as Li Bai, Du Mu, Su shi, Li Zhi, wu Chengen. It is the holy land of the Buddhism growing into a constituent part of Chinese civilization, the Originator-ancestor of Buddhism IV, V and VI embracing the religion with their career starting from the land, featuring the long lasting Chan sect culture of Buddhism and the endlessness of pilgrims in the ancestor court. It is the original place of Anhui opera, and it is spread with the state appointed home of the poem, home of the couplet, home of the peasant printing, and home of the athlete, and with the wide-reputed county of generals, county of professors and neighborhood of doctors. The tradition featuring respecting the intellects and emphasizing education and the life-stile of farming and learning has cultivated the people in Huanggang and set in the morality of honesty and their fondness of learning and the open-and temperate-minded

The school is located in Xishui Country, Huanggang City, Hubei Province China. The campus is established in 1909, having experienced more than 100 years of continuing growth. It’s a well-known school. There are about 4600 students.

Requirements: BA and TESOL /TEFL. Some teaching experience preferred

Contract Period: 1st Mar, 2025 - 31st Jan, 2026
                            1st Sep, 2025 - 15th Jul, 2026

Monthly Salary: 10000 RMB or above
Teaching hours: 20 classes per week （45minutes per class）
4 classes overtime per week maybe need to teach and the 
Teacher will be paid 50 RMB per class as overtime (the total 
Salary will be around 5000 RMB per month)

Age of students: middle school students 

Travel allowance: 2,200 RMB per school year

Accommodation: a free private furnished apartment on the school campus. 

Internet access (Free): a computer and internet access (broadband) will be provided in the apartment

Paid Holiday : 2 days off per week; public holidays in China; winter holiday.

Work permit : The school will provide work permit for China at no cost to the teacher.

Air-ticket Reimbursement: On completion of a school year contract, a round way air-ticket reimbursement will be made for teachers
