Wuhan City is located in the central part of China, spanning almost the whole of Jianghan Plain. It sits at the confluence of the world's third longest river, Yangtze River. Areas around Wuhan are Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan, Sichuan, Shaanxi and Henan provinces.
The majority of the city is not higher than 50 meters above sea level with low and smooth terrain on the plain. There are more than 100 lakes inside the city.
Wuhan occupies 8,467 sq. km. and maintains a population of 7.16 million, 4.86 of which belong to the urban area. Inside Wuhan, there are tribes like Han, Hui, Manchu, Miao, Tujia and Mongolian.
Wuhan is a city with a long history and a glorious revolutionary tradition. It has has been an important ancient town since the Shang and Zhou dynasties, the Spring and Autumn Period, as well as the Warring States. The first shot of the Revolution of 1911 that overthrew the rule of 2000 years feudalism in China was made in Wuhan.
The city falls under the sub-tropical humid monsoon climate. It has 4 clearly demarcated seasons: cold and dry winters, hot and humid summers, plenty of sunshine and frost free period of 220-250 days. It earned the name of 'stove' being the best known hot city in China.
The local delicates include Wuchang fish, laotongcheng doupi, cailingi hot dry noodle, xiataoyuan weitang soup, tanyanji dumpling and Wuhan mianwo. The tourist attaractions include Yellow Crane Pagoda, East Lake, Huanghelou, Wudanshan, Gui Yuan Temple, etc.

Hubei University of Chinese Medicine is located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, the central part of the People's Republic of China. Wuhan City, with a population of seven million, serves as a hub of land, water and air transportations in the interior of China and is known in the history as a through fare to nine provinces. As far as the strength of science, technology and economy is concerned, Hubei stands in the forefront of China.
Authorized by both State Educational Ministry and Public Health Ministry, Hubei University of Chinese Medicine was established in 1958 which was one of the first five colleges of its kind in China. At present, the college has 2500 staff members, among whom more than 300 have their advanced academic titles as professors or associated ones with a student body of 2000. The college is composed of three departments including 7 divisions, such as Division of TCM, Acupuncture and moxibustion, Traditional Pharmacy, Advanced TCM Nursing, TCM ENT and TCM Surgery. There are 13 specialties for enrolling graduate students including doctoral degrees in programs such as 'Yellow Emperor's Canon of Classic Medicine' and acupuncture which have been installed since 1990. In addition, the university is affiliated with three teaching hospitals in the region.
The State Educational Committee has authorized the university to be one of the first batches to enroll overseas students based upon the outstanding study environment and living conditions in the campus. In recent years, different types of overseas students from different countries and districts have been trained and advanced in their specialties, or obtained their academic degrees. Teaching hours: no more than 16 hours per week
Age of Students: university students
Paid Holidays: two days off per week; all public holidays in China. Winter holiday
Travel allowance: RMB¥2,200 will be paid when teacher finishes the contract
Medical Allowance: The school will provide free medical service at the school clinic.

Closest Airport: The teacher will be picked up by the school on arrival and transported to the airport on departure.
Working visa: Invitation letter will be mailed to teacher to process work visa in his/her own home country before departing for China. Teachers already in China will be assisted in switching over to the university.
International air ticket: On the Completion of the contract, the school will reimburse the Roundtrip airfare (the economic class).
