Brief Introduction
The academy is a full-time public school consisting of a primary section, a junior section and a senior section, which has
been in existence for five years, four years and three years respectively. Primary and junior schooling constitutes the nine-year compulsory education, while senior education is conducted in the form of small-sized classes. Currently, the academy has two campuses, Yucai Campus and Tianshui Campus. The academy pursues a humanistic spirit centering on politeness and benevolence. The students, therefore, are encouraged to be kind in their relations between themselves, others and nature in order to become social citizens with a sense to love, give, tolerate and create.

By relying on local resources and expanding its influence in Zhejiang Province, the Academy has adopted four development tactics for achieving it’s goals that put into place an education pattern featuring superiority, individuality, excellence and internationalization. As a result, it has grown into a model school with great tolerance, high quality, unique distinction and abundant achievement.

History
Established in the autumn of 1995, Ningbo Huizhen Academy was first named Yucai Experimental School. In the spring of 1996, the Fan family, who is headed by Fan Hongling, a Hong Kong entrepreneur and Honorary Citizen in Ningbo,
together with the People's Government of Ningbo Municipality cofinanced and expanded the school. They renamed the school “Ningbo Huizhen Academy” by the approval of the City Bureau of Education, and the municipal government. In April 2006, we once again renovated and expanded the school to build the Senior High School. In the autumn of 2007, the first group of Senior High students enrolled. Later in August 2008, the Tianshui Campus was completed. Thus we become a school of two campuses with an Elementary School, Junior High School and Senior High School.

 

   

Scale
The school occupies a land area of 80 Chinese acres, the environment is refined, the layout is reasonable. It was titled as the Ningbo First batch Civilized School, the Ningbo garden-like unit. Under the humanist idea , it has been constructed to be a modernized school with indoor and outdoor stadiums, the library, the laboratory, the specialized classrooms, the dining room and the modernized network system, the telecast system. Now there are more than 2400 students and 197 teachers in the school.

School-running Characteristics
To educate with tolerance and an open mind Students are encouraged to broaden their horizons by traveling and reading more. The goal is to become social citizens with critical thinking, learn to grasp opportunities and cope with challenges using a truth-seeking and enterprising spirit. The Academy has established open communication with many schools at home and abroad, such as St. Paul's School in America, Massey High School in New Zealand and Diocesan Boys’ School and Girls’ School in Hong Kong. Communication with these schools provides a platform to showcase the Chinese culture. It evokes a sense of national pride on the one hand and promotes their cross-cultural communication skills, respect and understanding of diversity on the other. By such means, the students are on their way to becoming people with both local knowledge and an international outlook.
