Chongqing city is a well-known city with a history of more than 3000 years. It is the famous historical and cultural city in China. Chongqing is the birthplace of the Bayu Culture. At present, Chongqing is a municipality directly under the Central Government with the largest area, the most administrative districts and the largest population. The original area of the whole city is 82,000 square kilometers, governing former Chongqing, Wanxian, Fuling cities as well as 43 districts, cities and counties in the Qianjiang Region. Chongqing has a population of 30,020,000, most of them are of Han nationality. 49 other ethnic minorities, such as Tujia, Miao, Hui, Man, and Yi also live here but retain their own traditional customs. The colorful local customs have already become an important tourist attraction in Chongqing. 

Chongqing has many attractions: cityscapes, mountains, revolutionary sites, cultural relics, parks, scenic spots, and natural beauty. The city offers a variety of choices for the visitor: from meetings and exhibitions, to sightseeing, shopping, dining and entertainment. Chongqing is variously known as 'foggy city', 'mountain city', and 'furnace city'. The central urban area of Chongqing is wedged between the Yangtze River and the Jialingjiang River, surrounded by hills and mountains. With green hills and clear waters, the scenery is unique. 

Buildings are massed in picturesque disorder near the mountains and at the rivers' edge. From a vantage point at night, one can see a myriad of glittering lights, contrasting pleasantly with clear glistening lights from the waves of two rivers and flashing stars all over the sky. This combination makes for a magnificent scene.

Chongqing Yubei Middle School (The original Jiangbei Second Middle School and later Jiangbei County Middle School) was set up by the HongYan martyr Wangpu in 1946 as a base place in the countryside for the South Bureau of the Communist Party of China, who is now honored as one of the top ten Historical Cultural Celebrity of Chongqing, with a glorious historical tradition. Hongyan-lianhua spirit has come into being and become the unique cultural characteristic to run the school and edify pupils, which is to pursue excellence, and advocate first-class.

The school follows the education idea --- To lay the foundation for the sustainable development for every student. It sticks to the rules of educational basis and restrained standard administration. As a result, the Party Community has continuously been titled with The Advanced Grass- Roots Party Organization. Every year, the school is honored to achieve The First Prize of Running School Standard Assessment, especially in 2004, when it was awarded The Special Prize. In 2005, it got The Special Prize for Education Quality for Senior School.

 

With the first-class environment

In 2009, Chongqing Yu Bei Middle School will soon be located in a new modernized campus. The occupation of land is over 270 mu, or 180,000 metre square, and the total construction area is 122091 metre square. It is planned to be the first important of the ten key progammes by Yubei Authority during the construction for the eleventh Five-year Planning. All the facilities are equipped to meet the requirement of the model high school with the campus internet all over the school exhibiting the advancement of our teaching media. In the videotext information centre there are altogether 300,000 books and 600 computers which help broaden pupils’ knowledge. Then in the lab building there are 34 labs and for the stadium there are nearly 6000 seats, standard enough to hold the national sports events. If the students want to live in the school, comfortable student hostels can accommodate 4000 students. What’s more, the Food Service Centre can meet students’ food sanitation and all-around nutrition development. The new campus will be covered with green trees and beautiful flowers, with a cultural square to show a unique campus feature, an ideal place for study and a good location for the souls.

Requirements: BA and TESOL /TEFL. Some teaching experience preferred

Monthly Salary: 9,000 RMB

Monthly fool allowance: 300 RMB(School will provide free lunch and dinner per day in the school, if not will get 300-Yuan food allowance each month)

Air Fares: Round way air-tickets will be reimbursed with satisfactory completion of one-year full-time service for party A.

Travel Bonus: Part B will be paid 4000 Yuan travel bonus by Party A when one year contract finished.

Teaching hours: 16-18 teaching hrs per week (45 minutes per teaching hour)

Age of students: 13-18

Paid holiday: Two days off per week;Mid-Autumn Festival.(1 day) ;National Day.(3-7 days) Xmas (3 days);New Year. (2days);Spring Festival, Chinese New Year (20 days). Qing Ming (Tomb Sweeping) Festival. (1 day);Labour Day. (1 day);Dragon Boat Festival.(1 day).

Accommodations: Free facilities and other things:
1. Accommodation- a flat with one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom (With air-condition, TV, Video, Telephone, Bed, Sofa.etc.).
2. Electricity, hot water and gas.
3. A bike (but should be maintained by party B, When the contract finished should return to Party A)

Free flat facilities：Water, electricity, gas, internet, desktop compute, cooking utensils, washing machine, water closet with shower and toilet, microwave, refrigerator, printer, air conditioner and telephone.

Visas: Party A will process and pay for the work visa for the employee.
