Brief City Overview 

Huangshi city, southeastern Hubei sheng (province), east-central China. Daye, established as a city in 1994, is situated on the south bank of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang) near Huangshi and about 55 miles (90 km) southeast of Wuhan, the provincial capital.Daye administrates 6 rural towns, 12 towns, 5 substricts, one farm and 419 administrative villages. 

    

A Brief Introduction of School

The school’s full name is Hubei Daye Jinshandian Iron Mine School (Chinese name is Hubei Jinshandian Tiekuang Xuexiao). It was established in 1960. It has an area of 15703.4 square metres. It is located at Jinshandian Town, the air is fresh and convenient to go anywhere, it’s only 20 minutes by car( or bus) from here to Daye City. 

The school is a full-time school with 32 classes. at present there are 1315 students in the school. The students’ ages are usually from 10 to 14. 

The school has ever engaged four foreign teachers. For example, Patrick and Marisa (from australia,during 2003)、Dawn（from UK,during 2005）、Jonathan and Michele ( from South Africa, during 2006),so the school has a lot of experience.

Requirements: BA and TESOL /TEFL. Some teaching experience preferred

Monthly Salary: 10,000 or above

Teaching hours: 18 classes per week 

Age of students: 10-14

Travel allowance: 2,200 RMB per school year

Accommodation: a free private furnished apartment on the university campus. The school will pay for payment of the monthly utilities . 

Internet access (Free): internet access (broadband) and computer in the apartment

Medical Insurance: The school will provide free medical service at the school clinic. 

Paid Holiday: Two days off per week. New Year in January (1) day; 
**Chinese New Year in January/February (3) days; 
Qing Ming Festival in April (1)day; Labor Day in May (1) day; 
**National Day in October (3) day; 
Winter holiday in Feb 20days.

*The common practice in China for golden week holiday in October is such that the employee will have 7 consecutive days off. (3 days paid holiday, 2 weekend days, 2 extra days to be compensated for by employee working on weekends either before or after the golden week winter holiday for 30days

Work permit : The school will provide work permit for China at no cost to the teacher.
