Wuhan is approximately 2000 kilometers (1250 miles) west of Shanghai and is the provincial capital of Hubei Province. The city has a population of approximately 9 million (Wisconsin has approximately 5 million people!) South Central University for Nationalities is one of 6 universities in China that is particularly geared to education of the 10 percent minority population existing in China. Approximately 60 to 70 percent of the campus population of 20,000 students is, however, made up of the Chinese ethnic majority, Han people.

The campus is located in the section of the city named Wuchang where there are many neighboring universities (Wuhan has between 40 to 60 colleges and universities.)

Monthly Salary: 10000 RMB

Teaching hours: 18 hours per week

Accommodation: A 60 meters square free private apartment will be provided. The apartment includes one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom (With air-condition, TV, Telephone, Bed, Sofa.etc.). free ADSL Access . Fridge, micro- wave stove, phone, and cooking utilities. The school will pay for payment of the monthly utilities (including water,electricity, gas, internet)

Internet access (Free): internet access at the apartment

Number of students per class : around 30

Insurance: The same treatment as the colleagues in our school

Closest Airport: Wuhan airport

Paid Holiday: 2 days off per week; public holidays in China; winter holiday.

Travel Allowance: The school will reimburse the teacher the cost of round trip air-ticket limited to RMB 8,000 on completion of the contract. If air-ticket is not required, teacher will be paid cash as a bonus equivalent to a round-trip air-ticket at market price, limited to RMB 8,000.

Sightseeing Tour: The school arranges free tour for teachers.
