Brief Introduction of Wuhan City Vocational College

   

Wuhan City Vocational College (former Jianghan University Shiyan Normal College), held by the Wuhan Government, authorized by the Hubei Provincial Government, and registered in the Ministry of Education, is a full-time comprehensive vocational college.
The college has ten departments, with thirty majors of vocational education, and ten majors of normal education. At present, there are over 5000 enrolled students, and over 270 professional teachers, including more than 130 associate professors and professors. Over the years, the college graduates have gained widespread social acclaims and abundant praises from employers, for their excellent professional ethics, high comprehensive qualities, and solid professional skills. 

The college was founded in 1904 with the name of “Lianghu General Normal School”, which was afterwards renamed as “Hubei No.1 Provincial Normal School” before the liberation. As times changing, the college was reamed for several times, and after the Cultural Revolution, the college was renamed as “Wuhan No.2 Normal School”. In 2003, authorized by Hubei Provincial Department of Education, “Jianghan University Shiyan Normal College” was founded on the merger of “Wuhan No.2 Normal School” and “Wuhan Preschool Normal School”. Since the new millennium, the college has been upgraded and reformed continuously, and was finally renamed as 'Wuhan City Vocational College'.
  

The Teaching Positions

English Teachers Number required: 2 Posts

Requirements: Bachelor degree + teaching experience (TEFL Cert. preferred)

Monthly Salary: RMB 9000-9500

Contract Period: 1st Mar, 2023 - 15th Jan, 2024
                           1st Sep, 2023 - 15th Jul, 2024

Teaching hours: no more than 16 hours per week

Age of Students: university students

Paid Holidays: two days off per week; all public holidays in China.

Travel allowance: RMB￥2,200 will be paid when teacher finishes the contract

Medical Allowance: The school will provide free medical service at the school clinic.

Medical Insurance: Medical coverage paid by school.

Accommodations: Private apartment will be provided. It includes three private bedroom, full set of furniture. Washroom. Color TV with cable. Air-conditioner. Heating. Telephone, Washing machine. Shower, Microwave. 24 hour Free hot water supply. Internet access (broadband) at the apartment. 

Closest Airport: The teacher will be picked up by the school on arrival and transported to the airport on departure. 

Working visa: Invitation letter will be mailed to teacher to process work visa in his/her own home country before departing for China. Teachers already in China will be assisted in switching over to the university. 

International air ticket: On the Completion of the contract, the school will reimburse the Roundtrip airfare (the economic class).
